Larrouleta campsite, located in Urrugne, just 3 kilometres from Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the Basque coastal path is the perfect start-off point for discovering the Basque Country. Set in a lush, green landscape, at the foot of the mountains, I definitely recommend this eco-labelled campsite. Here, there are no mobile homes, so come with your tent, your caravan or your campervan! Swimming pool open all year round, private lake to enjoy a bit of fishing and water-based pleasures, sports fields and a playground for children. Ever-so friendly atmosphere.

2. On the beach: A La Corniche 3* campsite

Direction Angoulins-sur-Mer, just 13 kilometres from La Rochelle, near Rochefort and Île de Ré. A La Corniche Campsite proposes fully-equipped chalets and mobile homes for rental just 100 metres from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. It comprises a wellness centre with jacuzzi, hammam and sauna and a water park open from 1st May to 30th September. Why do I recommend it? The Blue Océan campsite in Ondres, between Bayonne and Anglet, is a must-not-miss address for nature holidays. 5. At the gateway to the Gironde Estuary: L’Estuaire 4* campsite

L’Estuaire Campsite is located in Saint-Thomas-De-Conac, an hour from Bordeaux and from Cognac, on the banks of the Gironde Estuary. Castle of the Magdeleine

Two kilometres south of Montguyon, on the banks of the river Lary, this fortified estate has been transformed into a renaissance manor house with outbuildings, a park and a pram museum.
Housed in a huge early 19th century barn, you will dicover a museum of exceptional antique prams and baskets. Visitors will also have the opportunity to taste Pineau and Cognac. The estate is located close to the Greenway cycle path and welcomes groups on request.

Le Taillan Equestrian Farm

Michel Vallaeys invites you to break through the barriers of everyday life in the authentic setting of its equestrian farm, labelled "Welcome to the Farm".
Come and discover during a stay at the farm, alone or in groups, a farm and its human, animal and natural environment. Introduction to horseback riding, horse riding, rental or accommodation of equines, discover all our equestrian activities in a rural setting.

All year round, visit of the farm (horse breeding, vine, tobacco and grain cultivation, forest discovery), Ardhillon circuit (in pursuit of Fantoche, through woods and fields...), ponies and horses animation, accompanied rando, attelage. Accredited training centre, horse and carriage first ride, horseback riding from 1 hour to several days to discover the people, landscapes and local products. Teenagers' courses and FFE (French Equestrian Federation) exam training course. Horse rental by the hour, half day and day.

Riders home, in dormitory and rooms - Horses home : in meadows and five stalls, saddlery, shower, pellets and hay supplied.
Luggage transport, picnic preparation and board and half-board catering available (reception room 64 seats).
