Come and discover our show staged by Eric Le Collen which is based on the enthusiasm of hundreds of volunteers. It is performed in one act of 1hour30. It will carry you into the region of Aquitaine and Bordeaux of the Middle Ages.
One of the great chapters of the History of France: after marrying Louis VII in 1137, in 1152 Aliénor d’Aquitaine celebrates her wedding with Henry II Plantagenet, the future king of England. Afterwards, 3 centuries of quarrels. On July 17, 1453; the English General Talbot loses heavily the war against the cannons of brothers Bureau. This battle settles the end of the Hundred Years War.
During the Pentecost weekend (Saturday and Whit Sunday), 50 wineries will open from 10 am to 7 pm.
The wineries will welcome you to taste red, dry or sweet wine. There are entertainement organised (lunch, food trucks, car rallye, tours) available on the website and the brochure.
An exhibition of the work of around thirty craftspeople in the magnificent cloister of the church of Saint-Martial in Chalais! A key event for arts and crafts in the South Charente, in Chalais.
Visitors can discover beautiful, unique, sustainable and ethical creations combining craftsmanship and materials. Decoration, tableware, jewelry and fashion accessories, one-off pieces and small series are the focus of this exhibition-sale! 26 artisans will present their latest collections and demonstrate their know-how and creativity.
A variety of events will punctuate the show: introductory workshops for young and old, musical evenings, demonstrations, shows, artists in residence and photography and painting exhibitions.
The new cultural season kicks off with the European Heritage Days.
This year, the event will honour the craftsmen and women of Beautiran and the surrounding area who, as true ambassadors of ancestral know-how and living heritage, work with materials while adding their own personal artistic signature.
Visitors will be able to meet
Nathalie Olivier, aka "Manoyan", who will be exhibiting her beautiful clay and bronze sculptures,
Luisa Géronimo, who will be presenting cork fashion accessories, useful and decorative objects, and explaining how oak bark is harvested,
Juliette Tanguy, a cutler in Lados,
Marie Campistro, lace-maker and Best Worker in France,
Claudie Vayssière, creator of small Japanese plants - kusamonos,
David, a landscape gardener who will be creating an ephemeral garden with a selection of plants.
The Museum honors the arts and crafts by taking part in this European event.
For two days, visitors will be welcomed by craftsmen who will introduce them to their techniques and creativity. This privileged moment of sharing and openness will be a source of wonder and perhaps of vocations.
Everyone will be able to meet the expert hands of talented men and women: David the landscape gardener, Valérie Brissaud will lead an embroidery workshop, Monique Guillard will explain the boutis technique, Daniel Chodan will demonstrate hot gilding printing.
The Boutiques open their doors for souvenir gifts to suit all tastes.
The Salon de Thé (tea room) welcomes gourmets with crêpes and hot and cold drinks.
