This 1977-created festival is actually the visible part of ongoing educational work focusing on image-for-all and through professional guidance (to facilitate the integration of authors and filmmakers in networks and the development of their film projects). This festival benefits all and is an opportunity for the public to exchange with (future) industry professionals!
Over 8 days, you’ll be able to “discover tomorrow’s filmmakers today”, through over 130 films from young authors who take on the world around them. You’ll be able to share your feelings, questions and even your critiques (or criticisms) with these artists during encounters-discussions.
As for the programme, it’ll definitely make cinema-lovers dream:
- an international Selection of 10 shorts made by the film schools and 5 feature-length films signed by film students or filmmakers spotted during the Selection at a previous edition of the Festival;
- a Focus showcases cinematography from a specific country by proposing a panorama of contemporary films and shorts from film schools, get-togethers with experienced and up-and-coming filmmakers; this year the limelight is on India and its 1,000 annual productions;
- masterclasses to discover or to better understand the profession and the work of personalities of the 7th Art, with the Cinema Lesson led by a well-known filmmaker, Itinerary, a key moment dedicated to a young actor’s/actress’s career and news and the Music and Cinema masterclass with a guest composer;
- special screenings proposed to a wide audience: the So French! evening, dedicated to French schools, the Court d’ici programme, previews with film crews, the Piou-Piou and Ciné Doudou sessions for young audiences, and more…
