First of all, if you get here on the Wednesday night you’ll be seriously tempted to celebrate by meeting up with some old friends, and the Bock’n’roll is the perfect place for it!
But don’t hit it too hard, it’d be a shame to start the festival feeling a bit rough!

Book accommodation in advance! Hotels are often fully booked, and good sleeps are the key to a good festival!
You’ll need a coffee to wake you up... To find the perfect spot, rush down to the Rue des Arceaux, a stone’s throw from the Place des Halles, and find the Café des Arceaux. Once your caffeine hit out on the terrace has perked you up, head inside to check out the exhibition.
By lunchtime you’ll have worked up an appetite. I’d recommend a Super Big Burger at Carpe Diem. Their homemade fries are to die for!
Why not make it to go? You can eat while you enjoy the view from the battlements.
Make the most of Thursdays and Fridays by meeting writers and publishers.
If you’re in the mood for fancier fare come evening, the famous baked camembert at Bruleau Charentais will hit the spot!
But if it’s no problem at all that your entire dinner is made up of appetizers, head over to the vernissage at the Maison des Auteurs. It’s a great chance to meet future talents!
It’s time to get serious! See you at Spin Off for a mad night of underground fanzines and alternative music.
Don’t stay up too late: it’s only the first night!
