1 - La Vague
Rhumery, cocktails & salsa
Vieux-Boucau. On the main beach, this is the favourite rendez-vous for lovers of Salsa, Caribbean, African and Latin-American music. Here’s the place to sip an amazing house cocktail, sometimes served in giant glasses for two with giant straws, in a cosy, wood-decorated space with splashes of bright colour and flower garlands. Between two dances, enjoy tartines and tapas, or chill on the terrace in one of the comfortable hammocks. Vibe and welcome muy caliente.

2 - Chez Monette
World Cuisine & Live music
Seignosse-les-Estagnots. Venerable local institution, Chez Monette has seen several generations of locals and tourists pass through its garden in search of an authentic experience. As the kids, who in summer play in the closed courtyard or around the large round tables, have fond memories of this exotic and enchanting place where they grew up, year after year the tradition of the aperitif 'en famille' under the pines continues, just a stone’s throw from the Estagnots beach. This relaxed atmosphere can also be found in the cuisine, with Asian-inspired dishes from around the world, and in the music with live groups and DJs guaranteeing good vibrations every time.

3 - Louvine Collective Shop
Cocktail Bar, food-truck & shop
Seignosse-les-Estagnots. What a brilliant idea to call this bar Louvine! In the southwest this is the word for a mythical and delicious fish that can be caught by surf-casting in the riptides, and that usually goes by the name of...Sea Bass. Fan of fishing, cooking and the sea, Phil Richardson, veteran of the surfing, festive and gastronomic Hossegor scene loves Sea Bass so much that, along with a small international community of fishermen, he decided to develop the Louvine Collective Shop dedicated to his passion. Cocktail Bar, Food-truck (at lunchtime), restaurant (in the evening), clothes and accessories store under the "Louvine" label, this spot on the Estagnots beach fast became the place to be for those on the look out for a fun time and good local cooking. To go along with the highly-inspired cocktail menu: Japanese, Indian or Vegetarian dishes, all in a minimalist setting, with a refined, vintage style. In September, to close the season, the Louvine Street Food Festival celebrates street cuisine to music.

4 - The Captain
Beer Bar, world cuisine & tapas
Capbreton. Tapas and beer bar in one, The Captain, boulevard Notre-Dame, has also developed a good reputation for its tasty cocktails, based on homemade syrups. This cosy, modern space was dreamt up by Amandine, interior designer, and her brother Jimmy, who works behind the bar and the stove, where he whips up some decidedly hip cuisine: sashimis, Açaï Bowls, Rice and Corn cakes with Tuna or Lomo. Great wine list, take away food, musical ambiance and a very warm welcome.

5 - So Beach
Sunset cafe, bar & restaurant
Ondres. On the Promenade de l’océan, the huge So Beach terrace gives great views over the string of Dunes in the northern Landes and to the Basque mountains in the south. In the mornings, surfers and fishermen stop by for a coffee on their way to the beach. Then, the restaurant takes over at lunchtime with fresh fish, generous burgers and homemade desserts. At the end of the day, the setting sun casts its magic spell on the mixed clientele, as they let the aperitif linger on to the sound of music - two live concerts per week in summer - over tapas and shared cassolettes. Good bottled-beer list (Pietra, Corsican Chestnut, Brooklyn Lager...), smoothies and mojitos complete the good vibrations.

6 - A Noste
Sunset bar & tapas
Mimizan. What better way to end the day than on a deck perched directly on the dune overlooking Mimizan beach: a slight breeze on the terrace, cool drink in hand, the light going down until the final explosion of an orange sunset. This place is a peaceful corner of paradise at the "apéro" hour. Not to be missed on any count, « Sunset bar » par excellence, A Noste - pronounced: "A Nouste" - comes to life at dusk, feet in the sand or slumped in a deckchair overlooking the ocean, sipping a house cocktail. You'll be back in the morning for a coffee and croissant, when the sun starts to light up the immense stretch of white sand and bobbing waves; or at lunchtime, to tuck into some tapas and find a cool spot in the shade under the island beach parasols. Live concerts and Theme Nights in season, grilled fish and local cuisine in the neighbouring restaurant of the same name, also with a spectacular terrace with views over the dune.
