Get back to nature in this new Cénoteplaisir spa space. Awarded a Tripadvisor certificate of Excellence in 2017, this young Bayonnaise business has now opened a second address in Anglet. You'll find technical expertise along with a host of treatments that characterise the brand, but this time round the concept has chosen to take the 'garden' path.
100% plant and organic
The botanical atmosphere starts in the lobby with a pine tree planted in the middle of the decor, swings hanging in the shop window to present the products, then a herbal tea bar that serves glass jars of plants from a local producer. You'll find the same rural vibe in the treatment booths: the fabulous botanical treatment, massages and full-body treatments using 100% vegetal and organic essential oils.
With an on-site boutique, the place aims to promote brands little known to the general public. Among those selected by co-founders Gaëlle and Joy you'll find aromatic potions by Jardin des Zen (made locally in the Lot-and-Garonne), W Elixirs (from Provence) and the luxurious English labels Mel Millis and As Apothecary…
House ritual: the fabulous botanical treatment
Developed by Gaëlle, this treatment gives pride of place to the Jardin des Zen natural cosmetics. The idea? A face and body massage that creates the impression of being immersed in a floral, fruity garden. It starts with a deep relaxation of reflex zones such as the back, arms, nape, feet and skull. Then the beautician lingers on the face.
The ritual: makeup removal with almond milk, cleansing with a fruit mousse, application of a floral mist, steam bath and blackhead extraction... followed by an enjoyable modelling session using the Kobido technique. Facial skin is smoothed, kneaded, detoxified, replumped, caressed... In addition to re-triggering collagen production, encouraging energy circulation and giving a glowing complexion, this ancestral Japanese method instils deep relaxation.
To finish off you'll be served a lemon verbena herbal tea to bring you back down to earth.
Price: €95. Time: 1h20.
Having opened in Bayonne in 2016, Gaëlle partnered with Joy, specialist in massages from all over the world, to create the Anglet space. Here, the two young women combine their talents. Naturally, customers are over the moon.
