Imagined to meet the need for calm, the desire for conviviality and the love of beautiful things, the ground floor of the Boutique Hotel is composed of several judiciously arranged rooms. Guests come to relax in a cosy, cool space in summer or near one of the fireplaces in winter in our glass roof. Small jewels in the heart of Bordeaux, the discreet garden and the terrace of the Boutique Hotel are real havens of peace.
Located in a handsome, 19th-century townhouse in the heart of the city, the recently opened twelve-room hotel is furnished with high-end contemporary furniture from makers such as Edra and features amenities rarely found in hotels of this size in France, including 24-hour room service and air-conditioning.
The Palais Gallien is today the only visible remains of the Roman city of Burdigala. Built in the early 2nd century AD, its original dimensions are impressive, 130 meters long and 114 meters wide. The amphitheatre was located on the outskirts of the ancient city. Games - often cruel - were held here before large crowds. 20-25 000 people could be seated on terraced rows of wooden benches!
The Palais Gallien amphitheatre is listed as a Historical Monument. A few arcades and seating rows are still standing, and can be seen from rues du Palais Gallien, Albert Barraud, and Emile Fourcand.
