When you get to Brivezac from Paris, you immediately see that it was a good decision. Here’s my story of two weeks spent in the village, staying at Homade, an artistic community and living space. Things are off to a good start!
Brivezac is just a few streets of beautiful old houses, some of them still occupied, others in various states of disrepair. But it’s so much more than that! It’s your grandparents’ village where you spent your summers, the initiatives to bring the region back to life, like Homade, or Le Destin, the village’s charity café.
It’s also the Dordogne, which flows through the village, refreshing tourists and delighting fly fishers.

Things are happening on the banks of the Dordogne!
Canoeing on the Dordogne, a real treat for visitors.
And last but not least, Brivezac makes a fantastic base for exploring the area’s beautiful towns and villages, like Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Argentat and Bassignac-le-Bas, or to escape into the luxurious countryside, as long as you don’t mind the herds of Limousin cattle!
But first and foremost, for me Brivezac is real living!
