Chocolates and goodies. The museum tells the story of both cocoa and chocolate. For children, we propose a playful and educational visit adapted to the age of the children.

Because "chocolate doesn't grow on trees... ", we explain all the stages from the harvest of the pod to the manufacture of the chocolate which they will have the opportunity to witness. Children make a chocolate mould that they take home along with the original mould, which they can then reuse. The visit ends with a delicious tasting.

Join us at the A.V.C.K. water sports centre at the bridge in Les Eyzies to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Vézère Valley from Montignac to Limeuil. The Vézère is a tranquil, magnificent river where wildlife abounds. A shuttle bus makes its rounds hourly so that you may return to the centre when you are ready. Circuits range from one hour to a full day or two- to three-day excursions. We offer a free, educational guide of the area to help orient you so that you may understand and fully appreciate your discoveries. Shady car park, WC, coat check; snack bar 50 m away. The hotel La Rivière, located in a former coaching inn with a dovecote dating back to 1826, houses 6 studios and flats set around an elegant courtyard. A 10-minute walk from the centre of Les Eyzies, this 2-star hotel is adjacent to the 4-star campsite of the same name and is open all year round. Pretty little lake, in the hollow of the Beune valley, and located in the heart of the Périgord Noir, between Sarlat Montignac and Les Eyzies.

Designed for bathers with a beach at one end, it has a fishing pontoon for disabled people. The banks are well maintained, with few reeds and no algae in the pond.
There is a path around the pond.
A sports trail is accessible on the opposite bank to the beach. An interpretation trail starting from the pond will allow you to discover the environmental specificities of the Vallée des Beunes and the village, its history and its heritage.

You will find a beach as well as a playground, picnic tables, a refreshment bar, a car park, a tennis court and sanitary facilities. This lake also offers fishing.

Swimming is supervised from 11am to 7pm (amphibious wheelchair available).

"In the Beune Valley, just off Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, the Roc de Cazelle caves are nestled within the Le Goulet Valley, where the famous Vénus de Sireuil statue was excavated. Through representations of scenes from daily life as it was 12,000 years ago, the prehistoric park of the Roc de Cazelle caves invites you to follow in the footsteps of our distant ancestors, the hunter-gatherers of the Upper Palaeolithic.



The beginning of the circuit reveals the rock shelters where prehistoric man lived and which protected him from wild animals such as cave bears and mammoths. You will then cross through the caves.

Classified as "Historic Monument" in 1926, this Magdalenian prehistoric shelter joins on the right bank of the Beune, nearby Les Eyzies.
The remarkable sculpted bestiary of this rock shelter stretches across 13 of the 15 meters of its length. At the origin, the ochre of the cliff face probably lent its colour to the representations of horses, bison and various species of the deer family, which are superimposed in places.
Through the vitality and the depth of its reliefs, achieved with flint picks, Cap Blanc is one of the great masterpieces of the monumental art of sculpture of the upper Palaeolithic (35,000 / 10,000 years ago).
A museographic area completes the monument.
