The exhibition is dedicated to one of the greatest artists of the 20th century and will bring together more than eighty works, sixty of which are signed Picasso (paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, etc.). For the first time, the place of wine and popular spirits in the artist's work will be explored, transcending periods of creation, stylistic inspirations and techniques, where the intoxication of life, intoxication of the senses and intoxication shapes.
It will bring together many remarkable works thanks to the exceptional participation of the Musée national Picasso-Paris and the Museu Picasso de Barcelona. The achievements of Pablo Picasso will be presented in a unique way during a chrono-thematic journey in 5 sections which will reveal the effervescent creativity that animated him throughout his life.
Opened in 2016, La Cité du Vin is a unique cultural place dedicated to wine civilizations around the world. With a permanent route, the place hosts a major exhibition every year.
