Every year, mid-January
During this weekend-long event created by the Groupement des Producteurs de Truffes du Périgord Noir and the city of Sarlat, you may participate in various activities on the theme of this emblematic mushroom.
A number of workshops are open to the general public to reveal all the subtleties of the truffle, such as workshops on truffle identification and aroma or informed truffle purchasing.
A large truffle market will be held over the weekend, featuring an abundance of fresh truffles as well as derived products and related items (such as books and live truffle oaks).
Truffle-hunting demonstrations with trained dogs will take place twice a day in the trufflery to be set up on Place du Peyrou (the cathedral square).

During the Pentecost weekend (Saturday and Whit Sunday), 50 wineries will open from 10 am to 7 pm.
The wineries will welcome you to taste red, dry or sweet wine. There are entertainement organised (lunch, food trucks, car rallye, tours) available on the website and the brochure.

Street-art: frescoes, graffiti, but also the messages and cries of graffiti artists.
Loco: legacy of old locomotives, and transmission of knowledge (maintenance, driving) between generations.

The Barbezivales association invites you to take part in the medieval festival on the Place du Château.
Program: entertainment, artisans, campsite, bird of prey show, medieval combat, medieval dances, songs, storytelling, conferences, on-site catering. Feel free to come in costume!

At each stage of your visit, you'll discover a winegrower through visits, tastings, workshops and events. He'll tell you all about his history, his know-how and the secrets of his wines, whether red, white, dry or sweet.
Last but not least, children will be able to discover the vineyards thanks to the many activities on offer throughout the weekend, including treasure hunts and pony trekking.
